Barxmore Acres, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit FUREVER HOME DOG SANCTUARY dedicated to providing lifelong care for our permanent resident dogs. Donations help us provide food, veterinary care, enrichment, supplies, and a safe and comfortable home for the dogs who will spend their lives with us.

Donors may also choose to support one of our specific programs:

General Needs
Supports the everyday care and needs of our permanent resident sanctuary dogs.

Veterinary Care for Sanctuary Dogs
Helps with veterinary visits, dental care, medications, testing, treatments, and other medical needs.

Community Resource Sharing Program
Helps Barxmore Acres obtain and share donated food, toys, supplies, and other resources with select trusted animal welfare organizations in our surrounding community. Some large donations require significant transportation and logistics to bring them back to our area. For example, our Freshpet food donations require us to rent a refrigerated truck and make a seven-hour round trip to Pennsylvania to pick up the food. Donations to this program help cover expenses such as truck rental and fuel. This allows donated resources to benefit not only our sanctuary dogs, but many other dogs being cared for by our trusted community partners.

Sanctuary Safety and Infrastructure
Supports improvements and projects that help keep our permanent resident dogs safe, secure, comfortable, and enriched.

When donating online, select the area you would like to support from the “Use this donation for” menu. Donations designated for a specific program will be used to support that program.
